Dec 2019: Antony Beamish

It’s with the usual great pleasure that I give you our Member of the Month for December, Antony Beamish.

Antony joined GVH in September 2016 and has been one of the most improving members since, narrowly missing out on 2018’s Most Improved Male award, beaten only by some little upstart who went on to become Captain or something ?

Beamo is always consistent in his training and this has helped him to achieve some fantastic recent results.

In October, he finished the Abingdon Marathon in a cracking PB time of 3 hours and 18 minutes which was a massive improvement over his first marathon.
At the end of December he competed in the local and quite hilly Pednor 10 where he was the second Harrier home in a super quick time of 1:07:03 but more importantly he has attended three of the four Chiltern Cross Country matches so far and has excelled this year being one of our regular top scorers.
I don’t know how much of this current form is due to his new training partner (Lenny), or his skipper, but long may it continue!

Congratulations Antony you cross-country warrior. Let me be the first to buy you a celebratory pint!
